Composed of 98.4 % sodium chloride and 1.6 % trace minerals for organic pink rock salt. And 97.86 % sodium chloride with 2.14 % of trace minerals for the organic white rock salt.

Since Rock Salt deposits formed so long ago, it has never seen the industrial age or any form of human pollution. Rock Salt vs Himalayan Salt.

There is no distinction between Rock Salt and Himalayan Salt. Or even pink salt. They are all mined in exactly the same mine known as the Khewra mines in Pakistan. Himalayan salt owes its name due to the fact that until recently most of the export when through India. While the Khewra mine owes its name to the Khewra mountain which is an outcrop of the Himalayan mountain range. The source of Bizz Trading’s rock salt is the Khewra rock salt mine located in Punjab, Pakistan. Bizz Trading has obtained an import license from the Pakistani government for Europe. The mine itself is operated by the Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation. The salt deposit itself was discovered around 320 BC during Alexander the Great conquests of Asia by their horses who were licking the stones.

It has then been used as a source of revenue generated by rock salt. The salt itself has been used to add flavour to food but also for its minerals contained within the organic rock salt. But it also found use in various ornaments like lamps and statues. Rock salt is furthermore used in many industrial processes that require salt.
